Zimplifica: Redefining Banking Infrastructure in the Digital Age

Infrastructure: The New Frontier of Financial Transformation

At Zimplifica, we believe the future of the financial system is not defined solely by mobile apps or digital cards, but by the quality, security, and adaptability of the infrastructure that supports them.
In a regulated, competitive, and increasingly digital environment, the technology architecture underlying financial services is the real differentiator.

Our vision is clear: build modern, interoperable, regulated, and scalable banking infrastructure that enables next-generation financial services without compromising on compliance, security, or agility.

Born Regulated, Built to Scale

Zimplifica is a Costa Rican fintech operating as a Payment Service Provider (PSP), regulated by the Central Bank of Costa Rica and registered with SUGEF.
This position has allowed us to connect directly with SINPE, accessing services like SINPE Móvil, PIN, and Real-Time Debit (DTR).

But beyond integration, we chose to build our own infrastructure, giving us independence, flexibility, and full traceability.

Our goal: to ensure every service we offer is backed by a solid, auditable, and scalable technology foundation, ready to operate in any regulated market.

The Core Principles Behind Zimplifica’s Architecture

  1. Cloud-native from day one
Our platform runs entirely in the cloud with a microservices architecture deployed via containers.
This enables on-demand scalability, seamless updates, and high availability.

  2. Event-sourced architecture
Every key operation (account creation, transaction, validation) is stored as an immutable event.
This provides complete traceability, facilitates audits, and allows full system state reconstruction.

  3. Modular and decoupled design
We separate components into functional domains: clients, accounts, payments, identity, reconciliation, security.
This boosts resilience, speeds development, and simplifies maintenance.

  4. Interoperability by default
    Each component exposes APIs.
This allows us to integrate with banks, fintechs, government services, and tech platforms frictionlessly.

  5. Security and compliance embedded
We adhere to strict standards for authentication, encryption, monitoring, and data retention, validated against both local and international regulations.

Banking-as-a-Service (BaaS): Beyond a Fintech

Zimplifica’s architecture is built not only for our internal products, but also for external partners.
We position ourselves as an enabler for the Costa Rican and regional financial ecosystem.

Our BaaS model empowers:

  • Non-financial companies to offer banking services without building infrastructure
  • Cooperatives, fintechs, and insurers to launch modern financial products
  • Traditional banks to digitize parts of their operations without operational or regulatory risk

All integrations follow secure, traceable, and auditable standards.

Ready for Regulation and Regional Expansion

From day one, our infrastructure was designed with regional scalability in mind.
We can adapt to different regulatory frameworks, payment systems, and currencies across countries like Panama, Colombia, or Mexico.

This positions us as a regional platform for modern banking solutions.

A Strategic Proposal for Experts and Investors

For those analyzing the financial sector strategically, Zimplifica offers:

  • A modern banking infrastructure ready to be used by third parties
  • Proven legal and technical compliance
  • Low marginal cost of scale
  • A dual B2B and B2C business model built into the core
  • A clear regional expansion strategy, built from a regulated foundation

We’re not just a fintech. We are infrastructure. And that changes everything.
